Tom Smiley is the visionary Founder and Master Plumber behind 5280 Plumbing Inc., established in 2014 following a distinguished 8-year tenure with a leading commercial contractor in Denver. A passionate golfer and avid hunter, Tom finds joy in cheering for his sons at their year-round sports competitions. With a loving wife of 18 years and three children, Tom prioritizes family adventures and dreams of exploring all seven continents. He takes immense pride in both his cherished family and the thriving company he has diligently cultivated.

Jack O’Leary is the Lead Estimator at 5280 Plumbing inc. As a Master Plumber with over 50 years of experience, he holds Master Licenses in Colorado, Pennsylvania, Wyoming and Nevada. Jack started plumbing with his dad when he was knee high and is deeply committed to the plumbing trade with taking great pride in mentoring young plumbers. Outside of work, he now enjoys tinkering with cars, going on road trips, participating in ballroom and country dancing, prematurely ageing his skin, ruining his liver and installing cock-hole covers on Friday evenings.

Administrative Assistant

Michelle Augliera joined 5280 Plumbing Inc. as the Office Administrator in 2024. A native of the Denver Metro area, Michelle enjoys spending her free time on home renovation projects, hiking with her dogs, and four-wheeling in the mountains enjoying the views. Eager to expand her proficiency in a new professional field, she anticipates contributing significantly to her role.

Project Manager

Jimmy Snyder has been a dedicated member of the 5280 Plumbing team for the past two years, where he has thoroughly enjoyed expanding his knowledge in plumbing. With over two decades of experience in the construction industry, Jimmy brings a wealth of expertise to his role. As a Project Manager, he oversees Tennant Improvement projects and is continually advancing his skills in the New Construction sector.
Jimmy values working at 5280 Plumbing for its commitment to employee development and internal promotions. Outside of work, he is an avid golfer, bowler, camper, and fisherman. Golfing is his favorite pastime, as he loves the unique challenges of each course and the stunning views throughout Colorado.

Operations Manager

Starting his commercial plumbing career over 20 years ago, Neil quickly advanced in the ranks and began running projects only 6 months into apprenticeship fully understanding blueprints and overseeing licensed Journeymen and Master Plumber’s at one of the state’s most respected plumbing companies. Not long after being in the field, he shifted gears into estimating large scale multifamily projects and then on to project management. It was at this point that Neil took a broader interest in the construction industry and transitioned into general construction which
further expanded his overall knowledge of how a building comes together.
Having owned and operated two companies (one a commercial plumbing outfit and the other a turnkey general construction/MEP company), as well as completing a fully accredited degree in Construction Management, all the cumulative knowledge from each trade and different management styles is what led him into the Operations Manager role with 5280 Plumbing, Inc.
His primary objective is to improve cost tracking, job preparedness, communication and employee development both on a managerial and field level for employees. Bringing the ability to design in-house as well as teach the Project Managers how to do so has removed the majority of guesswork and time-consuming planning from the field’s Foremen.
Originally from Chicago, Neil served in the United States Army as a squad automatic gunner with the 25th Infantry Division. Beyond work, he maintains his fitness, engages in tactical firearms instruction, cherishes time with his supermodel wife and children, and moonlights as the crime-fighting superhero known as “Big McLargeHuge”.
